Cherokee Brass is the premier youth band for the AOK division. Under the leadership of Bandmaster Andrew Barrington, this group seeks to minister to listeners and each other through the music they play.
Cherokee Brass encourages a high standard of musicianship, and continually develops its young players while they are with the band. They play a wide range of repertoire that is useful in concert and worship settings.
By being involved in this group, the young bandsmen learn to be more effective in their corps, participate in Christian fellowship, and develop as leaders in our division. Cherokee Brass has a long tradition of producing fine musicians and leaders. Alumni include Bandmasters, college music graduates, Salvation Army officers, and strong soldiers of Salvation Army corps.
Please contact the AOK Music Department if you are interested using Cherokee Brass for your event or worship service.
